Making a Positive Difference: A Recap of Our 2022 CSR Efforts

At 4PS UK, we believe that success goes beyond financial performance and that companies are responsible for giving back to society and the environment. That’s why we’re committed to incorporating Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) into every aspect of our business. CSR is important because it helps us address the social and environmental challenges faced by communities and the planet while driving innovation, improving brand reputation, and engaging with our stakeholders.

By balancing our economic, social, and environmental responsibilities, we are building a sustainable future for all. Our recent efforts are a tiny part of our ongoing commitment to positively impacting the world.

In 2022 we:

  • Actively supported our local food bank Kingfisher Foodbank in North Solihull. Food banks play a vital role in providing access to nutritious food and reducing hunger in communities. Supporting them ensures that those in need can receive the help they require, especially during the cost-of-living crisis.
  • Donated surplus IT equipment to local charities and community groups such as Bromsgrove & District Asylum Seeker Support. Donating unwanted IT equipment helps to provide underprivileged communities with access to technology and the opportunity to develop digital skills, which can lead to improved job prospects and better education. It also helps to reduce e-waste, which is a growing environmental concern.
  • Some of our brave colleagues took on an exciting and daring challenge for charity by jumping out of a plane! The event provided a unique and thrilling experience and served a great purpose by raising vital funds and awareness for Samaritans. The Samaritans provide confidential emotional support to anyone in distress, struggling to cope, or at risk of suicide. Our team was happy to take on this challenge and make a positive impact through their commitment to giving back.
  • Continued our commitment to promoting the wellbeing of our employees through our 4PS Life programme, which includes a range of initiatives and resources aimed at improving physical, mental, and emotional health. The programme recognises the importance of a healthy work-life balance. It supports employees in maintaining it through stress management, mindfulness sessions, menopause awareness, in-office massage, and regular exercise challenges.
  • Our mental health first aiders play a crucial role in promoting mental wellness in the office, and in 2022, more members of our team became certified by MHFA England. Mental health first aiders provide a first point of contact for employees seeking support and offer a confidential and non-judgmental ear to listen, offer advice and guidance, and provide signposting to appropriate resources.
  • In September 2022, 4PS took a significant step towards becoming a socially responsible employer by becoming a Living Wage accredited employer. This demonstrates our commitment to paying all our employees a wage that covers the essential cost of living and goes beyond the minimum wage set by the government. We are proud to be a part of this movement and are committed to creating a fair and equitable workplace for all employees.
  • We also launched our environmental, social and governance (ESG) policy. We strive to build sustainable, equitable, healthy, and diverse attitudes while delivering solutions through innovative business practices and exemplary ESG performance. The policy sets out our approach to sustainability matters, and at the heart is a corporate culture with sustainability at the core of all our business operations and values.

4PS UK’s commitment to CSR is ongoing and constantly evolving. We know there is more we can do to impact positively. In the coming months and years, we will continue exploring new initiatives and opportunities to boost our CSR efforts and significantly impact the community around us.
