What will be the '4PS Charity of 2021?

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) and giving back to community are becoming increasingly important as a means to support society and the environment. At 4PS we believe we can make the world a better place and we try to do our bit through various initiatives in our corporate social responsibility activities.

Leading the way with sustainable partnership!

First point on the agenda for the 4PS CSR team is transparancy. We believe that it is important that every stakeholder of 4PS has the opportunity to help us decide what the ‘4PS Charity’ of 2021 will be. Out of the many contributions the team chose 3 charities and we now need your help to narrow that down even further and choose the winner for 2021.

Childline

For over 30 years, Childline is a place for children to turn for support. Childline helps anyone under 19 in the UK with any issue they’re going through. Children can talk about anything. Whether it’s something big or small, trained counsellors are there to support.

Childline is a service of NSPCC. Donations, fundraising and campaigning help NSPCC to reach millions of children and young people. 90% of our funding comes from supporters.

Besides financial support, NSPCC offers ideas and events that people can take part in. Also, volunteering and sharing the message are options to support Childline.

Mercy Ships

Mercy Ships makes surgical care accessible to the poorest, on and around the largest hospital ships in the world. The 140 volunteers on board work on medical programs, training and information. Nearly 2,000 surgeries are performed each year and 7,000 Dental patients pass by.

Financial support is needed for the purchase of medical equipment, among other things. But the organization is also depending on financial support for all other costs involved in keeping the ships operational as well as the medical treatments on the ships. To provide financial support, we can organize fundraisers, support a project or sponsor an operating room.

Brain Research UK

Brain Research UK has identified three priority areas, where research investment is most urgently needed; brain tumours, brain and spinal cord injury and headache and facial pain. In each of these areas, there is a large unmet patient need that is not reflected in current levels of research funding.

4PS is a knowledge-intensive organization, so we have to be careful of our brain and the knowledge that is in it. Thanks to our wide network we can create more awareness for people with brain diseases/ disorders. The projects we can help fund are examples of translational research with direct impact on the lives of people living with diseases of the brain, or with the consequences of brain or spinal cord injury.

The CSR policy at 4PS

We believe it is important to give back to community because it is time for a change. Together we can contribute to a better climate, reduction of environmental pollution and deforestation.

Together we can lend a helping hand to our loved ones where they cannot do it themselves. We have already taken a number of small steps to achieve this. Firstly, we make little use of paper. Almost everything we do is done digitally. Our solution is an end-to-end construction business management system. Therefore, not only us but also our customers have access to all data digitally. This makes unnecessary use of paper (such as invoices by post) a thing of the past.

Our company also encourages working from home where possible, so that fewer employees need to travel, which is better for the environment. Besides that, supporting people with achieving their dreams or making their journeys more manageable is something we are also very passionate about. We take part in a number of projects to raise funds for charity and we sponsor activities that make a positive difference to communities.
